Writing to Mary and Jack

Updated: May 7, 2018

Looking to find the right tone and approach for writing North90 articles, I want to try writing letters. I write non scholarly articles, which collect and structure thoughts based on experience, a very diversified reading list, and non-academic research, and I find that adressing them to someone in particular helps the writing.

These letters are also friendly messages to all the Marys and the Jacks of this world, who just like I did a few years back, are trying to decypher what being a leader exactly means. It is for Mary and Jack that North90 is created.

I come with no pretense of writing definitive opinions or accounts, but with the hope that some Mary or some Jack, wherever they are and in whichever trade they work, will find interesting things to read here.

Whilst I may one day regret this, I hope that comments will come forth to concur or dispute, for as Margareth Heffernan puts it: "For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument, debate."

I am looking forward to meeting you, dear Mary and Jack.
